Earlier today, Auberle CEO John Lydon accepted the Innovation Award from the Pittsburgh Business Times. Auberle will use this award as an opportunity to take a moment and appreciate what has been accomplished and to invigorate our commitment to growth, quality and increased impact.
Excerpt from John's CEO Message in the 16-17 Annual Report:
"The Pittsburgh Business Times award focused on our work at the 412 Youth Zone, a voluntary program that currently serves more than 1,100 young people between the ages of 16 and 23 aging out of foster care. We have 74 community partners to help provide services to our young people. We utilize a variety of activities to bring them to the Youth Zone such as building a state-of- the-art music studio to promote creativity and therapeutic expression, and a variety of outdoor activities in partnership with groups such as
Venture Outdoors and Bike Pittsburgh. While on the surface these may seem like just “fun" activities, they have at their heart promoting activity and interaction among our youth, fostering
communication, and building trust to promote growth in a variety of areas."
Innovation continues to be at the forefront of Auberle's mission and allows us to tackle the "unsolvable" problems and achieve significant positive results. As a donor, volunteer, foster parent or staff member you help us to be innovative and to excel at helping to change lives together.
